While data from the Biennial Reports going back to 2012 indicate that *2025 was a record-high year* for forced electroshock treatment requests in Connecticut, do not worry at all, as Connecticut's deputy statewide medical director for the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services spoke with Inside Investigator earlier this year https://insideinvestigator.org/last-resort-court-petitions-for-electroshock-treatment-increase/ to assure us all that any perceived increase in forced electroshock treatment in Connecticut can be attributed to the system simply returning to pre-COVID levels.
