YSK: Account age is a poor indicator of whether an account is run by a bot
Many old accounts that are no longer used get hacked and repurposed into sharing malicious content. You can look for years-long gaps in a posting history to see if an account is exhibiting suspicious behavior, but the hide profile history feature makes bot-sleuthing unreliable.
Why YSK: It is good to stay vigilant of who you are talking to online, and not get sucked into manufactured outrage machines or timelines full of slop meant to keep you scrolling.
