To be honest, the idea of an open relationship has never made sense to me. People say it works if there is strong trust, but I believe real love naturally comes with emotions, attachment, and sometimes even a little possessiveness. That’s human nature.
No matter how confident someone claims to be, it’s not easy to stay calm knowing your partner is emotionally or physically involved with someone else. Overthinking can slowly take over, and even small issues may turn into bigger conflicts. In my opinion, this kind of setup increases the chances of insecurity, anxiety, and misunderstandings.
I consider myself a loyal person, and I expect the same loyalty from my partner. If someone wants to explore different “options,” they are free to do so — but not while I am still in the relationship. For me, love means commitment and exclusivity, not sharing.
