had to cancel my birthday trip and I'm really bummed.
I camp on the beach for three days on my birthday every year and for various reasons this year I can't go. It's right at the peak of firefly breeding season in the area and I'm going to miss that, plus some much much much needed alone time. My husband says 'oh you can just go later', forgetting that it will be too hot in our area to camp for months and my birthday is pretty much the last opportunity until September. Just thought I would vent to people who understand. I don't look forward to a lot in my life, but this trip is important to me and it sucks that it isn't happening. š
