I’m balanced—I give deeply but keep my core safe.
I think this came from both my personality and the things I’ve seen around me growing up. I watched people love with pure hearts, but I also saw how badly someone can get hurt when they give everything to the wrong person. Because of that, I learned that love should be honest and deep, but it should never make you lose yourself completely.
One memory that really shaped me was when I trusted a friend too much and shared things I normally keep private. Later, during an argument, those same things were used against me as jokes in front of others. It wasn’t a huge heartbreak story, but it taught me something important: not everyone handles your softness carefully. Since then, I still love and care deeply, but I also protect certain parts of myself until trust is fully earned.
What I know now is that healthy love is not about giving every single piece of yourself away. Real love should feel safe, respectful, and peaceful. You can love someone deeply while still protecting your self-respect, goals, and inner peace. Balance doesn’t mean you love less—it means you love wisely .
