Real People, Real Moments, Spinning on a Globe
Hey everyone!
I built this small interactive 3D Earth called VoiceDot — a place where anyone can leave a short anonymous voice message from their city or just share what's on their mind right now. No sign-up, no exact location saved, only an approximate area on the globe.
Hit record, say a quick hello / thought / feeling, and it pins as a little voice dot. Someone else can spin the globe, land on it, listen, and maybe reply with their own voice.
It's still early, but already has some real, warm human snippets:
🌙 "Can't sleep at 3:40am before an exam" (Bangkok)
🍷 "Drinking wine alone after a breakup"
🎨 "On redesign #17 , deadline Monday"
🕊️ "Conflict begins with the loss of our humanity; peace is a choice we can make"(Morocco)
A gentle space to hear actual people — not headlines or stats, just voices saying "I'm here too".
Let's say hi to the world? Feel free to drop your own short voice message if it feels right — every one makes the map feel a bit more alive.
**The goal is simple and maybe naive:**
I just want these little voice dots to remind us: we’re still capable of hearing each other. We may not be able to stop everything happening out there — but we can keep it from tearing us apart inside.
I’d be glad to hear your feedback and ideas for improving the project.
