Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. āFerris Bueller When the news broke of the tragedy in Lisbon, this line came to mind. I didnāt know why at first. But as I watched the live coverageāthe desperation, the tears, the rescue workers rushing to save livesāI understood. These people were doing exactly that. They were living. Exploring. Chasing a moment of joy. Hours later, as rescue workers carried victims away with such respect, the weight of it all sank in.
This photo, taken just days ago, now carries a new weight. A quiet yard, a fading sky, and the ache of knowing that someoneās tomorrow never came.
We donāt know what the next day, the next hour, or even the next minute will bring. But while we are here, we owe it to ourselves to live.
