#Spooktober25 My biggest rational fear isnβt ghosts, darkness, or the unknownβ¦ itβs my own anger.
Most of the time, it sleeps inside me silent, harmless, pretending to be calm. But when it wakes up, itβs like a storm that doesnβt listen to reason. My voice changes, my thoughts blur, and for a few momentsβ¦ Iβm not even myself anymore.
Itβs not the shouting or the breaking that scares me itβs the silence after. The guilt, the regret, the way I see the fear in othersβ eyes and realizeβ¦ I became the very thing Iβm afraid of.
I donβt fear monsters under the bed. I fear the one that sometimes wakes up inside me. Because that monster wears my face.
I donβt really fear lizards as much as I feel disgusted by them. The way they change color, crawl on walls, and suddenly appear out of nowhere just makes my skin crawl. Sometimes, when I turn on the light at night and spot one, my heart skips a beat. I know they donβt bite or harm humans, but their presence still makes me uneasy. I try to ignore them, but the moment I see one, my first instinct is always to keep my distance.
Honestlyβ¦ my biggest rational fear is losing the people I love without getting to say goodbye. π
Not in a dramatic way β just that sudden, silent kind of loss that leaves you wishing for one more conversation, one more hug, one more βtake care.β As someone whoβs seen how unpredictable life can be, the thought of time running out before you make things right or express your heartβ¦ thatβs terrifying in the most real way. π―οΈ
Itβs not ghosts, shadows, or things that go bump in the night β itβs silence where someoneβs voice used to be.
