Which one are you choosing?
When it comes to giving and taking in life, all of us have lived both sides of these choices. Indeed, taking is the way we survived for thousands of years when it comes to the dangers of our physical world. That is considered “survival mode”. It is necessary at times and we always have that choice.
But these days are quite a bit different than hundreds, if not thousands of years ago. We don’t face the constant dangers like our ancestors did. So we don’t have to live in constant “survival mode”. We can live in “creative mode” and be that giver of life and ideas.
We can live more as a giver in this day and age. But we still have to be careful of when and how we give because the world is still full of takers. These are usually very catabolic people that allow their selfishness to control their life.
Being a “taker” all the time is very draining and restrictive. Where being more of a “giver” is nurturing and energizing. As long as we don’t apply a bunch of expectations to it.
See how it feels to be a giver. Give without expectations and don’t make it transactional. See how most are wrong and how giving energizes us more than taking ever will.
This is actually the secret for becoming your True Self and discovering a sustainable happiness. By giving. Giving gratitude, compassion, empathy, and forgiveness as much as possible each and every day.
Try it and see how your life changes.
Just remember to let go of your expectations to see the true results.
