Time is one of the greatest ways we show someone they matter.
Everyone is busy. Everyone has responsibilities, problems, goals, and their own battles they are fighting. That is exactly why someone choosing to give you their time means so much. When someone checks on you, sits with you, calls you, listens to you, or simply makes room for you in their life, they are giving you something they can never get back.
But we also need to look at ourselves.
How often do we say we do not have time?
The truth is, time is all we have. We just do not know how much of it remains.
Most of the time, the problem is not a lack of time. It is how we prioritize it. We allow distractions, habits, meaningless activities, and other forms of interference to consume hours that could have been invested in ourselves and the people who matter most.
Stop waiting to find time.
Make it.
Schedule the dinner. Make the phone call. Visit the friend. Spend time with your family. Take care of yourself. Put what matters on your calendar and protect that time with the same commitment you give everything else you consider important.
Look at where your time went yesterday. That will tell you what you are currently prioritizing.
Then ask yourself whether those priorities are creating the life you truly want.
Your time is your life.
Spend it accordingly.

Most people say they want happiness, yet very few ever question the version of happiness they were taught to chase. From childhood we were trained to believe happiness was found in excitement. The rush. The thrill. The new thing that promises to make us feel alive for a moment. None of this was your fault. You absorbed what the world taught you. But now you are aware. Now you can challenge it.
The truth is that what most call happiness is nothing more than a temporary chemical spike. A new purchase. A new achievement. A new place. A new distraction. Society keeps us chasing the next moment of excitement so we never slow down long enough to ask the real question. Why am I still not fulfilled?
Excitement fades. Every time. It cannot sustain you. It cannot ground you. It cannot elevate you to your True Self. That is why so many live like addicts. Always waiting for the next quick fix of instant gratification. Always believing that the next thing will finally deliver peace. It never does.
Real happiness is not something you gather from the outside. It is something you give from the inside. It is a state of influence, not a reaction to life. When you choose to give gratitude, compassion, empathy, and forgiveness throughout your day, you create an internal shift that no thrill can touch. This is the foundation of presence. This is the doorway to your True Self.
Give these qualities freely for one week and watch what happens. Your inner world changes first. Then your outer world responds. Happiness stops being a chase and becomes your natural state. Not excitement. Not a moment. A way of living.

We often believe that a special person “completes” us. When we meet someone who feels like a miracle, it can seem as if they’ve filled a missing piece inside of us. But the truth is this: no one completes you. You are already whole. What the right person does is awaken what’s already there. They inspire you to rise higher, to love deeper, to give more of your best self. That desire to be better isn’t proof of incompleteness, it’s proof that you’re alive to your own potential.
But then life shows up. Stress, bills, disagreements, and routines dull the spark. We get comfortable, then complacent. We forget the gratitude we once felt and begin to take for granted what once felt like magic. This happens to everyone. And without awareness and practice, the relationship can slowly drift into distance.
The way back isn’t complicated, but it does take intention. It starts with letting go of ego. Releasing the catabolic energies of blame, anger, and resentment. It’s remembering what first drew you together. It’s choosing, again, to show up with love, effort, and appreciation. Relationships, like life itself, thrive not on taking, but on giving. And when giving is rooted in safe boundaries, it creates a love that grows stronger, not weaker, with time.
So, what do we give? The same gifts that make every area of life flourish: gratitude, compassion, empathy, and forgiveness. These anabolic energies lift both you and your partner, creating space for growth, joy, and fulfillment.
If you want to live up to your true potential, not just in relationships, but in life, practice giving these daily. When you do, you won’t just sustain love. You’ll transform it. And in the process, you’ll discover the happiness that’s been waiting inside you all along.
