If I had the power to solve one major problem in the world, it would be the lack of empathy and understanding between people.
Why? Because so many of the worldโs biggest issuesโwar, poverty, injustice, abuse, discriminationโgrow from the same root: people failing (or refusing) to see others as fully human. If empathy were stronger : Leaders would think twice before choosing violence. Systems would protect the vulnerable, not exploit them. Disagreements would lead to dialogue, not destruction. Differences would be met with curiosity, not fear. Empathy doesnโt erase conflictโbut it changes how we face it. And when understanding leads, solutions follow.
If I hadIf I had the power to solve one major problem in the world, I would choose poverty. So many other issues โ lack of education, poor health, child labor, crime, and even conflict โ are connected to people not having enough resources to live with dignity. When basic needs like food, clean water, shelter, and education are met, people can actually dream, grow, and contribute positively to society. Reducing poverty wouldnโt just change individual lives, it would uplift entire communities and future generations. A world where no one has to sleep hungry or give up their dreams just to survive is the kind of world I wish to see. ๐โจ
If I had to choose one world problem to solve, it would be corruption. In my country alone, it feels like a dread disease โ starting at the top and filtering down through tenders, state capture, and everyday systems. When allocated budgets arenโt spent where they should be โ on social services, education, healthcare, housing, and infrastructure โ ordinary people pay the price. If resources were used honestly and responsibly, far fewer people would be forced to live in squalor.
