"Dealbreaker or acceptable? For me, it's not a dealbreaker, but as the age difference increases, it becomes more important how both people think and feel. I think an 8-10 year age gap is normal and can be handled, but anything over 12-15 requires a certain level of maturity.
Comfortable range? Like I said, a 5-10 year age gap is fine, but anything over that requires a lot of effort to handle.
Younger or older? I think a man should be older than a woman, but the opposite is also fine. It gives the man more responsibility and the woman more security.
A word of advice: Don't romanticize the age gap, if you have any issues, talk about the future. For example, when to get married, whether to have children, career priorities, pace of life. Many age-gap relationships fail because they don't understand the difference. "Ignore things."
My cousin married a much older man, but when you see their love and understanding, you wouldn’t even notice the age gap between them. Masha Allah, they also have children and are a very happy family. 🌸✨ I believe that age is just a number. A relationship succeeds when there is love, respect, and understanding, not just age.
My thoughts: Age gaps are not a dealbreaker; in fact, different life experiences can make a relationship stronger. The maximum age difference that feels comfortable is whatever allows both partners to be happy together. I don’t mind being the younger or older one; understanding and love matter more. One tip I’d give a friend: “Age is just a detail; heart and understanding are what really count.” 💕
Here is my response on given questions in the activity. Dealbreaker or workable? Not a dealbreaker for me. But the bigger the gap, the more it depends on where both people are mentally and emotionally. In my opinion 8-10 year gab is normal thing and Usually manageable but 12–15+ years, it need special effort to come over.
Comfortable range? As I mentioned above 5 to 10 is still okay. Beyond that, it starts needing more effort to stay aligned.
Younger or older? Male should be elder then female. Vice versa also fine but first statement is more valid. It gives more responsibility to male and more coverage to female.
One real tip. Don’t romanticize the gap , if feel uncomfortable, talk about the future early. Things like, marriage timing, kids or no kids, career priorities, lifestyle pace.
A lot of age-gap relationships fail not because of age, but because they avoid these conversations until it’s too late.
