We fried bacon late yesterday afternoon.
We built a fire and roasted the bacon on a sharpened tree branch, on embers. (The wooden skewer already has a modern version, the metal skewer)
This is an old Hungarian tradition, I learned it from my parents.
In the old days, the Hungarian people were very poor, they used to fry bacon on the coals, the fat of which was dripped on bread, very delicious!
The red onion can also be put on the skewer and kept on the coals. 🥔🧅🍗
And you can put potatoes wrapped in aluminum foil in the coals, which will cook quickly and it is also very tasty. 😛
Does anyone know this or have eaten this before??
