From silent prayers to luxury stays. šļøāØ
Standing beneath the massive walls of the Monastery of Santa Clara in Vila do Conde, you really feel how small you are. Itās wild to think this 14th-century sentinel, which once housed the Poor Clares, has been reimagined as a luxury hotel (The Lince). The contrast between the ancient stone grandeur above and the bustling street life below is what caught my eye.
Captured with the trusty Nikon D3100. To make sure I captured all that texture in the stone and plaster, I shot this at f/8 . Using this aperture ensured I was getting the peak sharpness out of my lens, keeping everything crisp from the Carglass sign at the bottom to the statues on the roof.
