I chosen - the emerald forest 1985
While working on the construction of a hydroelectric dam in the Amazon rainforest, American engineer Bill Markham brings his family to the site. During a brief moment of distraction, his young son Tommy is kidnapped by an Indigenous tribe and vanishes into the dense jungle.
Desperate and haunted, Bill spends the next ten years searching the forest for his son. When he finally finds him, he discovers that Tommy has been raised by the “Invisible People,” a peaceful native tribe who took him in and raised him as one of their own. Tommy, now a young man, identifies as a member of the tribe and is deeply connected to the forest and its ways.
The reunion forces both father and son to confront their vastly different lives, beliefs, and values. Meanwhile, threats loom from violent neighboring tribes and the encroaching modern world, as deforestation and industrial expansion begin to consume the jungle.
