Good morning☺️
First, I want to lay where I am coming from before I give my POV on this very sensitive topic
Even though the Bible doesn't specifically talk about modern same-sex marriage, there are a few verses—like in Leviticus 18:22, 20:13 and Romans 1:26-27 —that people often point to when they’re arguing against it. But a lot of scholars today argue those verses were actually talking about abusive practices back then, not the kind of loving, committed relationships we see now.
So, in today's modern time why do people choose same-sex partners? Honestly, it’s just part of human diversity. It’s like being left-handed or right-handed; it’s just how some people are wired. There’s no single 'reason' for it, just like there isn't one for straight couples. It usually comes down to a mix of biology, finding a deep emotional spark, and the fact that our society is becoming more open to people being their true selves.
The way I see it, a same-sex relationship is a 'big no' for me personally; it’s not a path I would take. However, I’m choosing to hold space and show respect for those who do embrace that lifestyle.
Why do I still respect people who might seem 'sinful' to others? It’s simple: we were taught that, in the end, everything comes down to Love. (John 3:16, Galatians 5:14).
I am just a humble servant. If Christ Himself showed acceptance to all kinds of people, who am I to sit in judgment? Ultimately, I believe that nothing happens without a reason—not even a single leaf falls without it being His will.
