Did I over cure my fish?

Broke down a Yellowtail (California) and sprinkled salt/sugar, left uncovered in the fridge for \~3 hours. Do you think that was too long? This is how it looks coming out of the fridge. I'm also thinking curing isn't the best option for belly cuts
