Everyone has trash. But how we deal with it? Thatβs a whole different story.
Some people separate everythingβplastic, paper, food waste, recyclables. Some just throw it all in one bag and hope it vanishes. Some wait until the bin is overflowing before they even think about it. Some feel guilty every time they toss something. Some donβt think about it at all.
This activity is not about shaming anyone for how they handle trash. Itβs about: noticing your real habits ( not what you think you should do ), understanding how your trash habits reflect your lifestyle, stress level, space, and values, and learning small, doable ideas from other people about how they manage their own trash day tango.
You donβt need to be perfect. You donβt need to be ecoβwarrior level. You just need to be honest about how your trash actually works in your home.
Main goal of the activity
Reflect on your real trash habits at home.
Notice whatβs working, whatβs messy, and what you maybe want to change.
Share simple, practical ideas that other people can steal (or ignore) depending on their situation.
TASK: COPY, ANSWER, and EXPLAIN
1. Describe your current trash setup at home in 2β3 sentences.
2. Whatβs your βtrash personalityβ? (e.g., separate everything type, one big bag type, wait until itβs overflowing type, guilty but messy type, etc.)
3. Whatβs the hardest part about managing trash in your home? (e.g., smell, space, no recycling nearby, confusion about whatβs recyclable, etc)
4. Whatβs one trash habit youβre proud of?
5. Whatβs one small change youβd like to try with your trash management?

You can choose any of the options, whatever makes you comfortable sharing.
1. Take a CLEAR PHOTO of your trash bin(s) or trash area at home.

2. DEDUCTIONS

Β· 30k-100k β Failure to answer in complete thought
Β· 100k - Failure to follow the required correct attachment ( minor mistakes = deductions only )
3. ALL deductions from rule-breakers will be split evenly among participants who followed every rule.
In cases where the deductions are significantly larger and the participants who followed the rules do not exceed half of the capped entries, a portion of the deduction will be allocated to standout entries. Meanwhile, those who complied with the rules will also receive their share.

Thank you all for participating in #TrashDayTango ! Your openness and honesty about your trash habits have made this activity a meaningful exploration of how we all handle waste in our lives. It's clear that while our approaches may differ, we share a common goal of creating a more mindful and sustainable environment.
Rewards have been sent to eligible entries. Of the 10 reviewed entries, only 2 followed the rules perfectly, and the rest incurred deductions for minor or major mistakes.
