My choice for ’s APRIL edition (Nr 4 of 12) of the #HumpdayAndChill event is:

Thelma & Louise (1991)

My first impression of this movie was one of boredom, despite the comedy, but the unforeseen circumstances caught my attention as the story unfolded. Two friends bonding on a weekend road trip was heartwarming, but fact is stranger than fiction and a salutary reminder that life is fragile and can go tragically awry, in an instant. Be afraid, very afraid!

Thelma & Louise has influenced other artistic works and became a landmark of feminist film. In 2006, the American Film Institute ranked it 78th on its list of most inspiring films. In 2016, the Library of Congress selected the film for preservation in the National Film Registry , finding it "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." - Wikipedia

Great choice! As soon as I read Neko’s post, I immediately thought of Thelma & Louise. Iconic! ❤️

Definitely, iconic and a great movie! Also scary... things can get out of hand. Unfortunately, the right to bear arms in the US (though one cannot use them) leads to tragedy in real life.
