Napa Valley / Sonoma wine tasting experience recommendations
TL;DR summary - I want wine tasting experience recommendations and wine club recommendations in the middle end.
I love wine but I don’t drink a lot. I live in the Bay Area so Napa Valley is a quick day trip distance for me.
I probably go to Napa about 2 times a year. With visitors I have the option to go more often.
I have tried the following wineries for standard, member, and food + wine experiences:
\- Standard: Domaine Carneros, Chandon
\- Member: Joseph Phelps
\- Tour + Food + Wine: Jordan Winery
The best so far has been Joseph Phelps and Jordan Winery.
I’m interested in recommendations similar to the experiences I liked. Currently Joseph Phelps has a food + wine tasting experience but it’s outside my budget (over $200 pp). Ideally, I want nice wine but keep it under budget. Less than $100 for a wine tasting and less than $200 for a full experience. If something is outstanding I’m willing to go borderline.
I enjoy learning about wine, about their history, tour the estates, and have wine with food (didn’t really pike the wine only group tastings as much).
Also, if there’s a wine club that would let me enjoy these experiences at a discount or better price, then I’m also willing to sign up.
