Today we pause as a nation to remember our journey - a journey marked by pain, courage, forgiveness and hope. The Day of Reconciliation is a public holiday in SA held annually on 16th December. This holiday came into effect in 1995 after the end of Apartheid.

I wish to have this kind of celebration day in my country. 68 years of independent still spreading hatred to one another.

I hear you. Healing and unity take time, and many countries are still on that journey.
I remember back in the day before our first election after Apartheid...people gathered all over in churches, they filled stadiums to pray, for a fair and peaceful election. There was a lot of hatred...I can't even began to explain. But we worked through it, here and there you will still find group(s) who tried to undermine the process. But SA is a praying nation - if God is for us, who can be against us🙏
