Plot:
The story revolves around a young girl named Meggie Folchart (Eliza Bennett) and her father, Mo Folchart (Brendan Fraser). Mo is a "Silvertongue" — a person with the magical ability to bring characters from books to life by reading aloud. When Mo unknowingly summoned a notorious villain, Capricorn, from a book, it caused disastrous consequences.
Now, Meggie and Mo must protect their loved ones, as Capricorn and his followers are after them. Along the way, they are joined by Dustfinger (Paul Bettany), a character from the books who is seeking his own freedom from the pages.
Meggie discovers her own latent powers and must help her father stop Capricorn and his menacing plans, using the power of words and stories to fight back.
