Ever felt that quiet ache of collective shame—where society quietly labels our bodies, quirks, or little flaws as "wrong," yet we all hold it inside without a word? There's beauty in naming it together: it gently fades away.

Psychology confirms it—voicing shared struggles sparks deep empathy, turns "I'm alone" into "we're all here," and weaves warm bonds through real, heartfelt talks. Share yours below.

Shame Shredder Circle
1. Name the Shame: Pinpoint the exact one ( e.g., "my acne scars that won't fade" or "procrastinating on my dream career" ). What sparked it originally?
2. Own the Trigger: Talk about times in real life when it flares up and why it hurts
3. Feel the Impact: How does it mess with you daily?
4. Shred It: One step you're taking for resilience—like self-compassion or reaching out.

MANDATORY: It's not part of this activity to mention anyone or use your default mention for fellow Tanglers—whoever you mention won't be able to read your comment within 72 hours anyway, so STOP that. Anyone who does will incur a 100k DEDUCTION. TRY ME.
Also, anyone who has a deleted comment (even if you comment again) will not be rewarded.

Let's visit to the questions,

Name the Shame:
One thing I quietly struggle with is overthinking my failures and replaying moments where I felt “not good enough.” It started years ago whenever I compared my progress with others like career, success, confidence, even happiness. Small disappointments slowly became self-doubt and compulsive thinking gripped.

Own the Trigger,
It flares up most when I see people achieving things faster than me or when someone questions my abilities. Social gatherings, professional discussions, or even scrolling through social media can trigger it. It hurts because deep inside, I put a lot of pressure on myself to always appear strong and capable.

Feel the Impact,
It can make me hesitate before taking opportunities, delay important decisions, or stay silent when I actually have something valuable to say. Sometimes it drains motivation and creates unnecessary fear of judgment, even from people who probably are not judging me at all.

Shred It,
I’m learning to replace comparison with self-respect. Instead of attacking myself for every flaw or delay, I remind myself that growth has its own timing. I’m also becoming more open with trusted people rather than carrying everything alone. Little by little, honesty with myself is helping the shame lose its power.

1. Name the Shame: Pinpoint the exact one ( e.g., "my acne scars that won't fade" or "procrastinating on my dream career" ). What sparked it originally?
My eyesight has been getting weaker over time. I now struggle to see clearly even when I wear glasses. It started gradually due to long screen usage, late-night studying, and ignoring eye care.
2. Own the Trigger: Talk about times in real life when it flares up and why it hurts
It becomes more noticeable when I try to read something far away or use my phone for a long time. It hurts because I feel dependent and frustrated when I cannot see things clearly like before.
3. Feel the Impact: How does it mess with you daily?
It affects my daily routine, especially reading, studying, and focusing on tasks. I often feel tired eyes and sometimes avoid activities that require sharp vision.
4. Shred It: One step you're taking for resilience—like self-compassion or reaching out.
I am trying to take better care of my eyes by reducing screen time, taking breaks, and using my glasses properly. I also plan to get regular eye checkups and not ignore my eye health anymore.

1. Name the Shame: Pinpoint the exact one ( e.g., "my acne scars that won't fade" or "procrastinating on my dream career" ). What sparked it originally?
My face is slowly developing wrinkles over time, and I have dark circles under my eyes due to stress and overthinking. It started when I began dealing with continuous emotional stress and sleepless nights, which affected my skin and overall appearance.
2. Own the Trigger: Talk about times in real life when it flares up and why it hurts
It becomes more noticeable when I look at myself in the mirror, especially when I am tired or stressed. It hurts because it reminds me of my struggles and makes me feel like I am losing my natural glow.
3. Feel the Impact: How does it mess with you daily?
It affects my confidence and mood. Sometimes I avoid taking pictures or meeting people because I feel insecure about myappearance and think others might notice these changes.
4. Shred It: One step you're taking for resilience—like self-compassion or reaching out.
I am trying to accept myself with kindness and patience. I remind myself that beauty is not only about appearance but also about inner peace. I am focusing on reducing stress, taking care of my mental health, and loving myself as I am.

1. Name the Shame

My shame is probably how emotionally detached I can become. People usually see me as expressive, funny, strong, or intense, but the truth is, I learned very early how to survive emotionally by disconnecting from things before they could destroy me.

I think it started when life kept teaching me that attachment can quickly become disappointment. So instead of becoming softer, I became someone who can walk away mentally even while still physically present.

2. Own the Trigger

It usually gets triggered when people expect emotional consistency from me that I honestly struggle to maintain. Sometimes I genuinely care deeply, then suddenly I feel exhausted by people, conversations, expectations, or even affection itself.

It also gets triggered when I feel misunderstood. Not the dramatic kind of misunderstanding, but the quiet feeling that people only like the entertaining or strong version of me while completely missing the complicated parts underneath.

What hurts about it is realizing that being “strong” for too long can quietly turn into emotional isolation.

3. Feel the Impact

It affects my daily life more than people realize. I get restless easily. I lose interest quickly. Sometimes I isolate myself even when I actually need connection.

There are moments when I want comfort but immediately feel irritated once someone gets too close emotionally. It’s confusing even to me sometimes.

I also noticed that I tend to intellectualize my feelings instead of fully sitting with them. I can explain my emotions very well while still avoiding actually feeling them. HAHA.

4. Shred It

What helps me lately is accepting that healing does not always look soft. Sometimes healing simply means becoming more honest with yourself instead of pretending you are unaffected by everything.

I’ve been trying to slow down, rest without guilt, and allow myself to stay connected to people even when my first instinct is to detach.

I’m learning that not every attachment is a trap and not every person is something I need to survive from.

Maybe some people are simply safe enough to stay.

Here's my Entry 🥰 🥰
#earn #SharedStains #TogetherWeUnpack

1️⃣ . Name it:
Being a bit shorter in height—this is something I started seeing as a flaw after comparing myself to others and feeling unnecessarily less.

2️⃣ . Trigger:
Whenever I stand in front of people or someone casually talks about height, that feeling comes back again.

3️⃣ . Impact:
At times, it quietly eats away at my confidence—I start feeling less about myself, even though I know it’s just a physical trait, not my value.

4️⃣ . Shred It:
Now I’ve decided I won’t focus on my height, but on building my presence—my confidence, my voice, and my personality. Because in the end, people don’t remember your “height,” they remember your “impact” 🤍

Name the Shame:
I used to feel ashamed of how quiet and awkward I can be in groups. People around me always seemed confident, loud, and funny while I stayed overthinking every word. It started back in school when being “too quiet” got mistaken for being boring or weird.
Own the Trigger:
It still flares up during group conversations, meeting new people, or even posting online. Sometimes I rehearse simple sentences in my head before speaking. It hurts because it makes me feel invisible even when I want to connect.
Feel the Impact:
It can make me avoid opportunities, stay silent when I have ideas, and overanalyze small interactions for hours afterward. The hardest part is assuming people judge me more harshly than they actually do.
Shred It:
I’m learning to stop treating quietness like a flaw. I’ve started speaking up little by little, reminding myself that being thoughtful is not something to apologize for. Real confidence for me now means showing up as myself instead of pretending to be louder than I am.

1. Name the Shame: What sparked it originally?
I think i become over aggressive at the spot and after a few minutes i feel regret about it. I don't know how so much aggression add into my personality but this over aggressive is a shame for me especially when I do it to innocent people.

2. Own the Trigger: Talk about times in real life when it flares up and why it hurts.
It flares up when I usually do it with my youngest sister who don't deserve it and also when my little students create disturbance in class i shout on them and become more aggressive and later I'm be like i could say with a soft tone too.

3. Feel the Impact: How does it mess with you daily?
It mess with me like i feel headache, i think about it later, i became sad and I start to hate myself, people don't like my attitude obviously they shouldn't like my attitude, people go away from me because of this attitude and they consider me not a good girl.

4. Shred It: One step you're taking for resilience—like self-compassion or reaching out.
I try to work on me like i tried to control but believe me 90% time I'm failed in it but slowly i think i can improve and i react like a normal person. But i only try to control it.

That's my personal wrong habit which develop nowadays and I am trying to work on it.

Thank you

Shame Shredder Circle
1. Name The Shame
One shame I quietly carry is feeling "Not Good Enough" compared to others. It started when I kept comparing my achievements, appearance, and progress to people online and around me. Little by little, it made me doubt my own worth.

2. Own Trigger:
It flares up whenever I see people succeeding faster or looking happier in life. Sometimes even simple conversations can trigger overthinking because I feel behind or inadequate. It hurts because it makes me question myself even when I'm trying my best.

3. Feel The Impact:
This shame affects my confidence daily. There are times I stay quiet, avoid opportunities, or overthink posting and expressing myself because I fear judgment. It can be emotionally exhausting carrying self-doubt all the time.

4. Shred It
I'm learning to practice self-compassion and remind myself that growth is not a race. I'm focusing more on my own progress instead of comparisons, and I'm slowly choosing kindness toward myself everyday. Healing may take time, but I refuse to let shame define me anymore.
