Rabies is a serious viral disease that attacks the brain and nervous system. It is usually spread through the bite or scratch of an infected animal, especially dogs, bats, cats, foxes, and other mammals.

✔️Rabies is caused by the rabies virus.
✔️In many countries, infected dogs are the main source of human rabies.
✔️The virus can enter through a bite, scratch, or saliva contacting broken skin or the eyes/mouth.
✔️Once symptoms appear, rabies is almost always fatal.
