My choice is "Dog Day Afternoon" released in 1975, a gripping heist film based on a true story, where a bank robbery spirals out of control. Led by a powerful performance from Al Pacino, the film focusses more on tension and human emotion than action. It's realistic style and raw intensity make it a standout, showing how even the best plans can fall about.
Watch how this desperate heist unfolds...
