Brothers (2015) Sports drama on mixed martial arts and family rivalry.
This is a Bollywood sports drama film directed by Karan Malhotra, starring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, and Jacqueline Fernandez. It is an official remake of the Hollywood movie Warrior (2011).
The story revolves around two estranged brothers, David Fernandes (Akshay Kumar) and Monty Fernandes (Sidharth Malhotra). They share a painful past because of their broken family and the mistakes of their father (played by Jackie Shroff). David, once a street fighter, becomes a school teacher struggling to support his sick daughter, while Monty, the younger brother, grows up angry and troubled, blaming his family circumstances.
Their paths cross again when a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) tournament called R2F (Right to Fight) is announced in India. Both brothers enter the competition for different reasons David for money to save his daughter and Monty to prove himself.
As the tournament progresses, they fight tough international opponents, but the emotional climax is when the two brothers face each other in the final battle. What starts as brutal rivalry slowly turns into forgiveness, as they rediscover their bond as brothers inside the cage.
The movie combines intense MMA action, family drama, and emotional storytelling, showing that sometimes fights are not just in the ring but also within the heart.
