Will excessive heat in transit ruin a wine?

Hello!

Went to Italy, bought several cases of a particular red wine (Amarone), arranged shipping back to the US. A month later (and several transit delays), they finally arrived.

The bottles were packed into form fitting styrofoam, packed in turn into boxes, and on arrival (to the west texas desert), the bottles were all ~38C / 100F. I'm freaking out a little bit - I don't know how long they have been cooking, and there are many thousands of dollars tied up in the venture, which is supposed to result in my wine cellar having these bottles in storage for a decade.

Need I be concerned? None of the bottles are broken, I don't see seepage, I don't know how to look for deformed corks under the seals - a few of the bottles of corks that are higher than other bottles....but I'm a little panicky.
