Happy Birthday in heaven - Leonard Cohen
Famous Blue Raincoat (1971)
This song is famousky written in the form of a letter, composed in a distinct - poetic meter (amphibrachs) and famousky signed off at the end with " Sincerely, L. Cohen". It weaves a haunting complex narrative that blurs the lines between fiction and reality.
The letter is addressed to an unnamed man referred to closely as " my brother, my killer", who had an affair with the narrator's wife or partner, a woman named Jane.
