Champagne grower tour recommendations
Visiting Épernay for five days in late September and aiming to squeeze in a few tours to medium sized growers and maybe one experience at a larger house. I'm looking for an educational experience on styles, terroir, and some tasting. I'm aiming to find at least one option in the different major regions.
So far I'm planning on Bérèche, Pierre Gimonnet, and Gaston Chiquet. I'd also like to add Chartogne-Taillet but it sounds like they prefer to book 2-3 weeks out. For a large house I'm torn between Taittinger, Bollinger, Billecart-Salmon, or if I should save my money for another grower visit. Any other recs that offer solid tours?
