I'd pick Princess Mononoke. This is basically about the conflict between the humans and the forest dwelling creatures, which also includes the spirits and such. This is such a great Ghibli film. The forest is not just a setting in this movie but also a living character itself. Watch this and be amazed how this old movie is still relevant till today.
