Yes, there is danger in loving somebody too much. #LoveTooMuchTruth I learned this lesson through my very close friend, Shagufta. She was a very important part of my life, and I cared about her deeply. Whenever she was going through a difficult time, I was always there for her without hesitation. I would listen to her problems, comfort her, and support her in every possible way. Her happiness mattered so much to me that I often ignored my own feelings and needs. I believed that giving more love and care would make our friendship stronger. However, the warning signs were there, and I chose to ignore them. Shagufta usually came to me when she needed emotional support, but when I needed someone, she was not always there in the same way. I kept making excuses for her behavior because I didn’t want to lose her. I thought that true friendship meant always being available, no matter what. Over time, this one-sided emotional effort started to drain me mentally and emotionally. What loving too much taught me was a very important life lesson. I realized that love and friendship should always have balance, mutual respect, and understanding. Loving someone should never mean losing yourself or your peace. Now I still love and care deeply for people, but I also respect my own feelings and boundaries. Because I have learned that loving yourself is just as important as loving someone else.
