#earn activity Some betrayals cut deeper when they happen in front of others. When bystanders watch, the pain doesn’t just stay private—it gets etched into the memory as something public and permanent. Their reactions (silence, laughter, siding with the other person, or pretending nothing happened) can turn a hurt into something that burns even longer. This activity is a safe, structured way to name one publicly witnessed betrayal and release its grip. Psychology shows that naming painful experiences reduces their power over us. #ExposedEtch turns that naming into something visible: a quick, honest “etching” of what happened, how it felt, and what label you gave the person who hurt you. Name ONE publicly witnessed betrayal you experienced: 1. Perpetrator + Context: Who did it, and what was the setting where others knew? 2. The Public Incident: Exact details of what unfolded in view. 3. Witness Impact: How bystanders' reactions made it unforgivable. 4. Permanent Label: What identity or label did you forever assign them after that moment? MANDATORY: It's not part of this activity to mention anyone or use your default mention for fellow Tanglers—whoever you mention won't be able to read your comment within 72 hours anyway, so STOP that. Anyone who does will incur a 100k DEDUCTION. TRY ME. Also, anyone who has a deleted comment (even if you comment again) will not be rewarded. ATTACHMENT: Column Graph (paper/pencil/color media), with
and #ExposedEtch written CLEARLY Y-axis: 0-10 scale Two bars: 1. RED Current rage level (where you at now) 2. YELLOW Years to forgive/forget (if you grow) Ex: Bar 1 hits 9/10, Bar 2 at 5 (for years) Rules & Reminders: - Pink/Grey BADGES (5+ marketplace badges) only - Be subscribed to
+ "Witnessed wounds never fade alone." - I read submissions one by one, and I understand those copied or rephrased entries. If this happens again, you will be blocked and will no longer be able to participate in any future activities
will host. - Closes at 10 entries. - Failure to follow any of the given rules may be subject to disqualification or deduction of rewards! VERY VERY IMPORTANT NOTES FOR THIS ACTIVITY: BASE REWARD is 300,000 MLX per participant. Duplicate entries won’t be entertained . ***I set the comments to be visible only after 72 hours. This activity will officially close once the comments are made public. This approach is intended to be fair to those who participate early. I typically provide feedback on each entry, detailing any deductions. However, I've noticed that some participants submit their entries after the comments are visible, which allows them to benefit from insights that others may have missed. This policy aims to ensure a level playing field for all participants.*** 1. DISQUALIFICATION • Posting inside the group/Commenting the link to a post • Entries out of topic • NOT subscribed to
upon checking. • COPIED or REPHRASED entries • Entries from someone with more than 1 Tangled account 2. DEDUCTIONS • 30k - Failure to include any or all of the ff: correct tag #ExposedEtch and mentions:
• 30k-100k - Failure to follow the task format and explain in complete thought • 30k – Failure to include the required statement • 100k - Failure to follow the required correct attachment ( minor mistakes = deductions only ) 3. ALL deductions from rule-breakers will be split evenly among participants who followed every rule. In cases where the deductions are significantly larger and the participants who followed the rules do not exceed half of the capped entries, a portion of the deduction will be allocated to standout entries. Meanwhile, those who complied with the rules will also receive their share.
I am officially closing this activity as we have reached the end of the 72-hour window and comments are now visible to the public.
As we conclude the #ExposedEtch activity, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your openness and courage in sharing your experiences. Acknowledging the pain of publicly witnessed betrayals is no small feat, and your willingness to etch these memories into words is a powerful step toward healing.
Rewards have been sent to eligible entries. Out of the 10 capped entries, I received only 6 submissions. Unfortunately, only 2 participants followed the rules perfectly; the rest incurred deductions for minor or major mistakes.
For those who want to understand where you went wrong and why you have deductions, please take some time to review your entries against my guidelines. I won’t be commenting on each mistake individually now, as the issues tend to repeat themselves. Deductions stemmed from the following: 1. Required statement not copied correctly or rephrased; incomplete thought 2. Attachment – Not a paper/pen/color media; no color; other mistakes
The total deductions of 390k mlx + 900k mlx from 3 unfilled spots will be distributed as follows: 1. 645k mlx each -
1. Perpetrator + Context: A close friend betrayed my trust during a gathering where several classmates were present. I had shared something personal with them and believed it would remain private.
2. The Public Incident: During a conversation, they revealed my personal information in front of everyone and turned it into a joke. The people around us heard everything, and I felt embarrassed and exposed.
3. Witness Impact: The most painful part was the reaction of the people watching. Some laughed, while others stayed silent and did nothing. Their reactions made the betrayal feel even more hurtful and unforgettable.
4. Permanent Label: After that moment, I labeled that person as “untrustworthy.” Once someone breaks your trust publicly, it becomes difficult to ever see them the same way again.
#earn activity The wounds of witnesses are never alone.
1. Perpetrator + Context: What did my daughter-in-law do with all the relatives at a family gathering. There are 20-25 people in the gathering.
2. Public event: I made fun of everyone for not getting married and not having a job and started saying, "Look, mom, she's not getting married either, she's not getting any relationship." Everyone laughed and I silently bowed my head and passed away.
3. Effect of witnessing: No one spoke in between. Everyone was laughing watching the surf. No one supported me. We gave silence and laughter to the pain 10x repeatedly, it seemed I had become a spectacle.
4. Permanent label: After our day, for me, Wo has become an "enemy of relationships". Whoever is his own and takes away the respect of everyone, Wo cannot be his own.
1. Perpetrator + Context: A close friend betrayed my trust during a group discussion at school where many classmates were present. I had shared something personal with them privately, believing they would respect my confidence.
2. The Public Incident: In front of everyone, they joked about my private matter just to make others laugh. The whole room became silent for a moment, and then a few people started laughing while I stood there embarrassed and hurt.
3. Witness Impact: What hurt the most was not only the betrayal itself but the reactions of the people around us. Some laughed, some ignored my feelings, and nobody tried to stop it. Their silence made me feel alone and humiliated.
4. Permanent Label: After that day, I started seeing that person as “someone who values attention more than loyalty.”
#earn activity 1️⃣ Perpetrator + Context: A close friend embarrassed me during a group gathering at school in front of classmates. 2️⃣ The Public Incident: They shared something private I had trusted them with and turned it into a joke while everyone was listening. I tried to laugh it off, but it caught me completely off guard. 3️⃣ Witness Impact: What hurt most was that people either laughed, stayed silent, or acted like it was normal. No one checked if I was okay afterward, which made the moment feel bigger and harder to forget. 4️⃣ Permanent Label: After that day, I stopped seeing them as a trusted friend. In my mind, they became someone who values attention more than loyalty.
1. Perpetrator + Context: she was actually my own cousin who was like a friend but she called to other and exposed the secrets which were only settled to stay in between us. Some hidden secrets of mine which were deep.
2. The Public Incident: I also saw that she tells other it's just like a fun for her, making other's laugh but i feel so embarrassed within other friends because at first she keeps promise that she won't tell others but then she thinks it's a kind of joke.
3. Witness Impact: I feel so shamed and i don't think so it's unforgivable because there are some talks which are private and shouldn't tell to other's, i feel so embarrassed that i couldn't forget the moment.
4. Permanent Label: I obviously put a label for her as not trusted person or friend, i stopped sharing thing's or talks with her , she noticed it too but i said that i couldn't trust you anymore.
1. Perpetrator + Context: My best friend in school cheated in front of 40 students and the teacher on the day of results in class.
2. Public incident: She copied my hard-earned project and submitted it to the teacher under her own name. When the teacher asked, she said to everyone, "I made this myself, @ Mani N M helped me surf". She took full credit and I remained silent.
3. Effect of testimony: The classmate laughed and said, "Look, she is still acting by copying". The teacher also agreed with her. No one heard the truth. She lied in front of everyone, and she became a hero.
4. Permanent label: In a short time, she has always become a "cheating friend" for me. The meaning of friendship has changed for me.
