When I was young, my grandmother always warned me to sleep early and not to stay outside at night. She used to say that Aswang wander around in the dark and go from one house to another. According to her, they look for children who are still awake. If they see one, they might take the child away and eat them specially when Aswang is hungry and thirsty.
Because of those stories, I was really scared when night time came. The funny part was our bathroom was downstairs, separated from the main house like a small extension. So even if I really needed to pee or use the toilet, I sometimes forced myself to wait because I was too afraid to go down alone in the dark.
My grandmother also told us that pregnant women should be careful, because Aswang like to watch houses where there is someone pregnant. Pregnant woman smells good to them and give them more strenght.
Looking back now, it makes me laugh a little. But when I was a kid, those stories really made me afraid to stay awake late or walk outside at night.

bakit nga ba ang mga cr sa province nakahiwalay nanpsramg di parte ng bahay kaya kelangan mo pa lumabas kahit gabi na kasi wala kang choice or bring your arinola nalang ๐
anyway dati pa yun, ngayon magagara na ang bahay sa province humahabol na sa metro. Ang haba na yata ng comment ko ๐
