**Growing hatred, prejudice and fear against Muslims** is called. This is not a religious criticism but a specific mindset and attitude targeting Muslims. Let's understand in detail.
Islamophobia is actually
**unreasonable fear, prejudice, discrimination and hatred** against Islam and Muslims. It is not just religious differences but a campaign to isolate Muslims from society by branding them as terrorists, backward or dangerous.
Islamophobia manifests itself in many ways in everyday life:
1. **On a personal level**: Abusing Muslims, making fun of them because of their hijab or beard, or making them have difficulties in jobs and education.
2. **In the media**: Describing Muslims only as terrorists or misogynists in films, news and shows.
3. **In politics**: Making laws against Muslims that do not protect them, or proving them to be "second-class citizens".
4. **Attacks on mosques**: Burning or vandalizing mosques in Western countries is an extreme form of Islamophobia.
