Alice in Wonderland (2010) is a fantasy adventure film directed by Tim Burton. The story follows Alice Kingsleigh (Mia Wasikowska), a 19-year-old woman who, after a strange encounter, falls down a rabbit hole and returns to Wonderland, a magical world she had visited as a child but had forgotten. Wonderland is now under the cruel rule of the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter), whose oversized head symbolizes her tyrannical power. The rightful ruler, her sister, the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), has been overthrown.
In Wonderland, Alice is told by the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) that she is the "Alice" prophesied to defeat the Red Queen and restore peace. To do this, Alice must retrieve a magical sword and defeat the Red Queen's army. Along the way, she meets strange characters like the Cheshire Cat (Stephen Fry), who offers guidance, and the White Rabbit (Michael Sheen), who urges Alice to hurry. As Alice embraces her role, she grows in confidence and courage. In the end, she faces the Red Queen in a final battle to bring balance back to Wonderland.
