1990 Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Merlot.
When I first opened it I thought it was vinegar although the cork was in really good shape. It took 30 minutes to open up. After 1 and a half hours it is really something special. Still lots of fruit, silky tannins and a long tart finish. Good tertiary flavors but not over powering. Much better than expected for a $30 auction bottle.
