Skater Girl (2021)
"Skater Girl" is about this teenage girl named Prerna who lives in a small village in India. Her life’s super traditional school’s limited, and girls are expected to follow strict rules. Then this woman from London visits the village and brings along a skateboarder friend. Suddenly all the kids get into skating, and Prerna totally falls in love with it. But of course, her family and the villagers aren’t cool with it, especially because she’s a girl. Still, she keeps skating and chasing her dream, even if it means breaking some rules. It’s really inspiring!
PS: skateboarding is both a sport and an art form, characterized by skilled individuals performing tricks and maneuvers on a skateboard, and it is widely recognized as an action sport, with a history of competitions and its inclusion in the Olympic Games since 2020 .
