Tommy (1975)
Tommy is a British fantasy film, written and directed by Ken Russell. It's a rock opera based on the Who's 1969 album Tommy also. It's a star-studded film including the band members themselves, with the lead singer Roger Daltrey plays the title role. It includes Oliver Reed, Ann-Margret, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Jack Nicholson, Robert Powell, and Tina Turner.
It's a story of a deaf, dumb, and blind boy named Tommy who when he first plays the pinball machine, in a game arcade, something magical happens. He becomes famous and they call him "The Pinball Wizard" because he defeats every challenger. Soon he becomes a spiritual leader because they believe he has wisdom.
Later Tommy regains his senses, he can already speaks, hears, and sees. But he loses the magic, so they no longer worship him. Feeling lonely again, he visits the pinball machine. When he touches it, he knows the truth. He was never playing the machine, the machine was playing him.
