Good evening, dear friends! 🌙❤️

To end the day on a sweet note, I thought I’d share a little taste of Mauritius with you! 🍬✨

These are some of our delicious Mauritian sweets, mostly homemade and inspired by our Indian heritage. From colorful little treats to rich, syrupy delights, let’s just say, having “just one” is a very ambitious plan! 😂 These little treats are especially popular during celebrations and festivals like Diwali.

Personally, I only eat them once a year, during Diwali! 😂 Because when I say sweets, I mean SWEET! 🤣 Most of them are fried and then soaked or coated in syrup, so you can imagine! One bite and your teeth are already asking for a glass of water! 😂🍬💦

But they are absolutely delicious, and somehow, during Diwali, we all suddenly develop an incredible ability to find room for “just one more.” 😜

And with summer slowly making its entrance, we also need to prepare for the real essentials, fresh drinks, ice cream, and sorbets! 🥤🍦🍧

Because when the Mauritian sun turns up the heat, nobody wants a complicated solution. Give me something cold, sweet, and refreshing, and I’ll be perfectly happy! 😂☀️

Honestly, summer calories don’t count, right? Asking for a friend. 🤣🍦

Wishing you all a sweet and peaceful evening! ❤️🌙 May your dreams tonight be filled with desserts, preferably ones that come with zero calories! 😂🥰
