Resilience in the Rain š· āIāve been quiet on here for a while, taking some space to process a bit of a "perfect storm." āAs I look at this tulip, I see a lot of my own journey right now. Today marks 105 days smoke-free, a milestone Iām incredibly proud of. But the path hasn't been all sunshine. Recently, I was hit with the news of pre-diabetes and high cholesterolāa heavy "bill" coming due from years of smoking. āIt was a bitter pill to swallow. As someone who prioritizes movement and fuels my body with fresh veggies, fruits, and lean proteins while avoiding processed foods, the diagnosis felt like a betrayal. It led me into a dark headspace for a while. āBut, like this bloom in Northern France, Iām learning to sit with the rain. āCurrently, Iām here with my husband, focusing on keeping my mindset positive and my spirit steady. Iām holding onto faith that with continued discipline and this clean air, I can turn these numbers around without being tied to chronic medication for life. āIām stepping back into the light slowly. Thank you for being part of my "sanity" check today.
