Resilience in the Rain 🌷 I’ve been quiet on here for a while, taking some space to process a bit of a "perfect storm." As I look at this tulip, I see a lot of my own journey right now. Today marks 105 days smoke-free, a milestone I’m incredibly proud of. But the path hasn't been all sunshine. Recently, I was hit with the news of pre-diabetes and high cholesterol—a heavy "bill" coming due from years of smoking. It was a bitter pill to swallow. As someone who prioritizes movement and fuels my body with fresh veggies, fruits, and lean proteins while avoiding processed foods, the diagnosis felt like a betrayal. It led me into a dark headspace for a while. But, like this bloom in Northern France, I’m learning to sit with the rain. Currently, I’m here with my husband, focusing on keeping my mindset positive and my spirit steady. I’m holding onto faith that with continued discipline and this clean air, I can turn these numbers around without being tied to chronic medication for life. I’m stepping back into the light slowly. Thank you for being part of my "sanity" check today.
