Today we celebrate the International Day of Sign Languages, a beautiful reminder that communication comes in many forms, and being heard isnโt limited to spoken words. ๐๐คโค๏ธ
Letโs be honest, sometimes communication between hearing people is already a comedy show! ๐
You send someone a message, they reply โK.โ, a nd suddenly youโre sitting there wondering:
โWas that a friendly K, an angry K, or a โwe need to talkโ K?โ ๐ญ๐๐ฑ
Meanwhile, someone sends you a voice message that starts with: โOkay, this is going to be quickโฆโ
Seven minutes laterโฆ ๐๏ธ๐ฉ๐คฃ Communication clearly has its own little adventures!
But jokes aside, you donโt always need a voice to have something powerful to say. ๐คโค๏ธ Sign languages are much more than gestures. They are fully developed languages with their own grammar, structure, and rich cultural communities. ๐ค๐
Today is a beautiful reminder to make communication more inclusive and to remember that everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and respected. ๐
And hereโs your little Wednesday motivation:
๐ฟ You donโt have to communicate perfectly to make a difference.
๐ฟ You donโt have to be loud to be heard.
