Good evening, friends!
Apparently, when you’re too busy all week, you can completely forget that you hired TWO people to put cement along the left side of your house. 😂🤦♀️
So, I came back home yesterday and surprise! There they were, already working like nothing happened. 😂Luckily, my brother was there because otherwise I would have been standing there thinking, “ Ummm, should I know you?” 🤣
It’s just a little renovation project to stop the rain from getting into my brother’s workshop. 🌧️🏠🔨 Nothing too fancy, but hopefully it will do the job!
Of course, I made sure to leave a little parcel of soil because, priorities! 🌸🌿😂 There MUST be a place for flowers! I’m already imagining how pretty it’s going to look once everything is finished. 🌺💐
It’s not quite finished yet, so they’ll probably be back on Monday to complete the job.
And now for my favorite part of the story. 😂
They are from Bangladesh and barely speak English, I don't speak their language either, and somehow we have managed to communicate perfectly, using hand gestures, pointing, facial expressions and a whole lot of “Yes, yes, okay!” 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, we may not share a language, but apparently we’re fluent in renovation sign language! 😂🤝🔨
One thing is certain, I may forget that I hired people, but I will NEVER forget to make room for flowers! 🌸😂❤️

I just couldn’t imagine finishing it without leaving a little space for flowers. 🥰🌸 They add that special touch that makes everything feel more alive and joyful. 🌼💕 I’m really looking forward to seeing it all come together, and I hope it turns out as lovely as I’m imagining. 🤗🌸

A week that busy can swallow a whole cement crew. Good thing your brother was already there, or that doorway moment turns into a long pause. Did they finish the left side, or is there still a strip waiting on the next clear day?

There's still a small part waiting for tomorrow. I didn't want them to work on a Sunday.

Sunday off is the decent move. That small part can wait until tomorrow, and one quiet day will not undo the work already down.
