Apparently, when you’re too busy all week, you can completely forget that you hired TWO people to put cement along the left side of your house. 😂🤦♀️
So, I came back home yesterday and surprise! There they were, already working like nothing happened. 😂Luckily, my brother was there because otherwise I would have been standing there thinking, “ Ummm, should I know you?” 🤣
It’s just a little renovation project to stop the rain from getting into my brother’s workshop. 🌧️🏠🔨 Nothing too fancy, but hopefully it will do the job!
Of course, I made sure to leave a little parcel of soil because, priorities! 🌸🌿😂 There MUST be a place for flowers! I’m already imagining how pretty it’s going to look once everything is finished. 🌺💐
It’s not quite finished yet, so they’ll probably be back on Monday to complete the job.
And now for my favorite part of the story. 😂 They are from Bangladesh and barely speak English, I don't speak their language either, and somehow we have managed to communicate perfectly, using hand gestures, pointing, facial expressions and a whole lot of “Yes, yes, okay!” 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, we may not share a language, but apparently we’re fluent in renovation sign language! 😂🤝🔨 One thing is certain, I may forget that I hired people, but I will NEVER forget to make room for flowers! 🌸😂❤️
Today we celebrate the International Day of Sign Languages, a beautiful reminder that communication comes in many forms, and being heard isn’t limited to spoken words. 🌍🤟❤️
Let’s be honest, sometimes communication between hearing people is already a comedy show! 😂 You send someone a message, they reply “K.”, a nd suddenly you’re sitting there wondering: “Was that a friendly K, an angry K, or a ‘we need to talk’ K?” 😭😂📱
Meanwhile, someone sends you a voice message that starts with: “Okay, this is going to be quick…” Seven minutes later… 🎙️😩🤣 Communication clearly has its own little adventures!
But jokes aside, you don’t always need a voice to have something powerful to say. 🤟❤️ Sign languages are much more than gestures. They are fully developed languages with their own grammar, structure, and rich cultural communities. 🤟🌍
Today is a beautiful reminder to make communication more inclusive and to remember that everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and respected. 💙
And here’s your little Wednesday motivation: 🌿 You don’t have to communicate perfectly to make a difference. 🌿 You don’t have to be loud to be heard. 🌿 You don’t have to use the same language as someone else to show kindness. 🌿 Sometimes a simple gesture, a smile, or a helping hand can say more than a thousand words. ❤️
So, my dear friends, let’s make this Wednesday a little more inclusive, a little kinder, and perhaps a little less confusing than that mysterious “K” in the group chat! 😂📱
Happy International Day of Sign Languages! 🤟🌍💙 Happy Wednesday, everyone! May your day be filled with understanding, kindness, laughter, and plenty of reasons to smile. 🌸💙✨
