Shortly after it became known that writer Peter Allan Fields had been 'dismissed' as writer for Star Trek: The Next Generation (word was that his writing '...was not up to par?') I wrote to Peter to convey my dismay over that decision, regaling how much I and the other Star Trek fans in my circle enjoyed episodes he authored (e.g., "The Inner Light," etc.)
Peter wrote this short note back to me and for years, this has been stowed away in my closet. I came across this note recently and wanted to digitize it so it not be lost...
