Look, I took this photo in the city today.
This is an older plane tree figuratively "taking off its clothes".
This means when it peels off its outer bark. This spectacular process is completely natural: due to the tree's rapid growth, the rigid bark cannot expand, so it peels off in large, smooth sheets, revealing the new, lighter layer underneath.
This is not a disease, but a sign of the tree's health.
