I’m excited to participate in this beautiful Draw a Bird Day activity. Here’s my submission! ✏️🕊️
I created a simple pencil sketch of a Pakistani local sparrow 🐦. I used a simple pencil to keep the drawing clean and natural, trying focusing on the small details like its feathers, tiny beak, and round body shape.
About my drawing:
✏️ Bird Name: House Sparrow
✏️ Availability in my region: Yes, this bird is very common in my area and can be seen around homes, trees, and rooftops.
✏️ What I like most: I really love how active and cheerful sparrows are. Their constant chirping and friendly presence make the environment feel alive and peaceful.
This drawing was simple but enjoyable, and it reminded me of how beautiful even the most common birds can be. 🌿

The drawing is about the Pink Pigeon , which is a rare bird endemic to Mauritius. It is easily recognized by its pale pinkish-grey plumage on the head and breast, contrasting with its brown wings and a distinct reddish-pink beak and feet.

Yes it's available in Mauritius, though it remains a protected and vulnerable species found primarily in the upland forests of the island.

What I find most remarkable about the Pink Pigeon is its incredible resilience. It is more than just a beautiful bird, it is a living symbol of hope. At one point in the 1990s, there were fewer than 10 of these birds left in the wild. The fact that they are still soaring through the forests of the Black River Gorges today, thanks to years of dedicated effort, is truly inspiring. I also love the subtle, dusty rose elegance of their plumage, it gives them a soft, almost ethereal look that feels very unique to the Mauritian landscape.
