For this month’s #HumpdayAndChill , I picked The Fundamentals of Caring because it perfectly captures the idea of a road trip changing people from the inside.
The story follows a caregiver and a teenager with a disability who decide to go on a road trip to visit random, “boring” tourist attractions. What starts as a simple journey slowly turns into something much deeper. Along the way, they meet unexpected people, face emotional struggles, and build a strong bond that neither of them expected.
What I really like about this movie is how real it feels. It’s not just about traveling from one place to another—it’s about healing, friendship, and learning to open up again. The mix of humor and emotional moments makes the journey feel natural and relatable.
