A little stop somewhere along the A1, on the road to Vendas Novas… just long enough to stretch the legs and breathe beyond the car windows. 🚗🌿 Of course, the moment I stepped out, the sunlight began playing hide-and-seek through the trees—so naturally, the camera had to stretch its legs too. 😏📸☀️ Sometimes the unplanned stops leave you with the most interesting little memories.
When you order a Super Bock in the south of Portugal…and they only have Sagres glasses. 🤓🤪 The beer: “I know who I am.” The glass: “Not at this table, you don’t.” 😂 And so my Super Bock arrived wearing the opposition’s uniform—boldly displaying SAGRES while the bottle stood behind it like photographic evidence. Is this betrayal, diplomacy…or simply very efficient glassware management? 😏🍺
🔥 THE CHAIR THAT LIED At our accommodation in Vendas Novas, this hanging chair looked like the perfect place to settle in, sway gently and do absolutely nothing for a while. There was just one small problem...
We were in the middle of a heat wave. 🥵
So there it hung—soft, peaceful and completely unused—quietly inviting us to sit while the weather whispered, “Go on…I dare you.” 😂
Some holiday furniture is made for relaxing. This one became a decorative reminder of the comfort we could have enjoyed under less volcanic circumstances. Would you have braved it—or admired it safely from indoors? 😅
