My pick of the month is MINORITY REPORT , a film directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 2002 which presents a gripping and thought-provoking vision of the future where crime can be prevented before it occurs.
It is set in a dystopian society where a specialised police department uses precognitive individuals, known as “precogs”, to predict crimes. We follow Precrime Chief John Anderton, played by Tom Cruise, as he becomes the target of a murder prediction. As Anderton delves deeper into the mystery, he uncovers a complex web of deceit, manipulation, and corruption within the precognition system.
The expertly crafted visuals, compelling narrative, and exploration of themes such as free will, ethics, and surveillance make this a standout film in the science fiction genre, leaving you questioning the implications of technology on society long after the credits roll. No wonder this movie was so good – it was based on a novella by Philip K Dick (aka PKD), the great American science fiction writer, who is considered one of the most important figures in 20th century science fiction. We all know some great movies based on his other works – Blade Runner, A Scanner Darkly, Total Recall and The Adjustment Bureau.

I love this series brother because they showed how thief can be a magician hahaha lol like they can surprise them with big mind set and strategy
Hmmmm.... It's a great series, but it's quite a stretch to say it fits within the theme of the month; this series is more about heist planning, moral dilemmas, interpersonal relationships etc., not really 'humanity vs technology'...

When a new type of terrorism emerges, Major uses her skills to stop it. this remake of the original 1995 animation is visually beautiful but the original one has more impact on the senses and it was ahead of its time.

The movie is played by scarlet johansson, it is about making the perfect soldier in a form of cyborg.

Nice series, but not sure how much technology these guys had to face back then! I don't think it qualifies for this theme...

Terminator 2: Judgment Day" one of my favorite action movie, where there's this super cool robot T-800 played by Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was sent back in time to protect this kid John Connor from another robot called T-1000. When I first saw this movie I don't understand the plot and everything till I watch it again & again that's when I realized the reason the enemy robot wants to kill John is to prevent him from leading the human resistance in the future against the machines.
I was obsessed with this when I was younger, even though my age that time is not appropriate to watch this kind of action movies lol.
